But here is a little overview of our week!
-We went to the Solingen bridge on Monday. It was so pretty! Germany looks a lot like NC and I love it. I will send some pictures of our adventure!
-I had my first zone training. My zone is really great and it was nice to see Sister Parker. We talked about becoming and how we can best become servants of the Lord.
-We met a guy on a bus who speaks a TON of langugages and he was way cool. And then we were teaching a lesson on the steps of a church in Leverkusen and this same guy came riding by on his bike! He stopped and listened and even prayed with us. He doesn't have much interest, but it was an answer to our prayers because we had prayed that we would see him again!
-We did contact some people on the Rhein. We had two really long conversations with a woman who believes she can heal people by touching them like Christ does and a homosexual guy who is studying here in Köln. They asked really great questions and were super friendly! Also, the Rhein is just incredibly pretty and the weather this week has been so nice!
-There is a girl named Sabine who converted about a year ago in our ward. She called us up and aksed if she could spend a day with us and of course we let her! It was so fun! She and Oma Jo are the best of friends now.
-I have been a little sick this week, so that has been hard. The Germans are firm believers in tea, so I will drink some tea and hopefully it will go away!
-Friday was a holiday in Germany which means all the train and bus schedules are different and we forgot that. We were going to be like an hour late for an appointment and I wasn't having that...so I made us take a taxi. It was super expensive, but we learned our lesson!
-The Elders had a baptism this week! It was so nice and also exciting for the ward. I got to play the piano and we made brownies for it too. We invited our investigators to it and even set up rides for them but none of them came, so that was kind of disappointing.
-Wednesday was a really great day. We literally talked to EVERYONE and we made contact with quite a few less actives and had some great appointments. We also got super squished on a metro, sat next to a crazy guy on a train, ate figs, handed a random person some brownies, and talked to a hippy about the Book of Mormon.
I hope you are all doing well! I miss you all like crazy! Love you!
