It seems like we had the chance to visit lots of members and do service this week! It has been fun to get to know them better and of course to serve. Sister Oliphant and the Elders got really good at building furniture and I got really good at painting chairs!
One of our investigators, Nana, prayed this past week to know if the Restoration was true. And she texted us on Saturday and said she had a dream and got an answer! It is really tough to teach her though and get her to church because of her work. We are hoping she will recognize how important that will be if she wants to keep learning and progressing.
We were able to meet with Richmond again! He has still been reading in the book of mormon and still wants to be baptized! We will have the Elders work with him from now on though.
Caroline is also doing really really well! She feels warm when she reads the book of mormon. I just feel like she is so prepared! An awesome member came to joint teach with us and I'm pretty sure they are already friends.
Marcia came to church again yesterday and is right on track! She said she does feel like she might be ready for her baptism after all:)
We were also able to meet with Vera, a lady we contacted on the street a few weeks ago. She also seems so prepared to me!
We had some great contacts this past week and I am getting much better at going dooring! Now I just have to figure out what my next step of getting out of my comfort zone is haha.
A sweet lady from Peru and her grandaughter came and visited our ward yesterday. She is here doing some family history work. She talked to me for quite a long time and basically just bore her testimony to me the whole time! She even got all teary. She told me how much God has blessed her throughout her whole life and has directed her exactly where she needed to go and has always made a way for her to accomplish what she needed to do. She said she has a very strong testimony of paying tithing and praying because those things open the windows of heaven for the blessings. She told me I am in her heart and she is definitely in mine too now! I really am grateful for the many testimony-strengthening experiences I get to have each week. The Gospel is amazing!
I love you all!
Love, Sister Funk
