We were able to hear from elder Ballard! He talked a lot about Ward councils and also member missionary work. We went to meet with a potential who set up an appointment for us..but she left a note on her door saying she changed her mind and thank you for the Book of Mormon haha. We met with a member who invited a friend to our dinner appointment which is way cool! Except that I was stressed and didn't know how far she wanted us to take the gospel with him. We ended up giving him a Book of Mormon and he definitely had a crush on her so that was awkward haha.
I split with sister Hall in Darmstadt and it was a great split! We went street contacting and I talked to this girl who immediately started crying when I talked to her. She just hugged me and cried and said she didn't know why she was even at that street and we went to a cafe and taught her. She said she looked at us and just knew we were from God..so that was really cool!
We had our street display on Thursday and it was pretty awful to be honest. Normally all the rejection doesn't bother me very much, but it was bad on this day! So many people said they absolutely do not believe in God and it was so disheartening. I did talk to one girl though who was open to talking about God, so we will focus on that little miracle!
We started teaching the son from a less active and I am so so excited! He is prepared. We baked bread with an investigator and taught her the restoration again. It was such a great lesson and she said she felt the spirit! It snowed yesterday during our dinner date with the international sisters! We also had MLC on Friday and are focusing on the Christlike attributes. Something that stood out to me the most is the phrase Remember Him. To be honest I kind of wanted to feel a little bad for myself after this week but there is no reason too! Christ went through so much more and made it possible for us to become better and to overcome everything. So my goal for this next week is to Remember Him:)
Happy thanksgiving and I love you!
Love, Sister Funk
