-Skyping real Germans was hard! They talk quickly, so it's going to take a while before I can understand anyone!
-I can read the Book of Mormon in German and understand most of it!
-Our devotional speaker on Sunday was really great. He talked about the importance of keeping members involved and he had a lot of great tips for being an effective missionary
-Our district has decided that we have the greatest teachers in the MTC. I feel so spiritually uplifted whenever they talk! We are really going to miss them
-In one of our lessons, we accidentally said we had seen a lot of goats in our lives instead of blessings in our lives...our teacher laughed so hard!
-One of our "investigators" fell asleep in a lesson! He said it wasn't our fault, but it was funny because we didn't quite know what to do
-We leave for Germany on Tuesday! I'm so excited! We are really trying our best to focus these last few days
I think Satan is really working on us here. My district and I have struggled quite a bit this week, but we are trying our best to stay strong! Our quote for the week was the one that goes something like this: "all the water in the world, no matter how it tried, could never sink the smallest ship unless it got inside." We know that we have a lot of work to do in Germany and that we have to do our very best to stay strong and work hard. I'm happy to be a missionary! Another speaker this week told us that as we are serving, we will begin to recognize a pattern of how the Lord gives us revelation and tries to speak with us. I'm excited for that and I'm so excited to meet the people in Germany. Our teachers say that they would trade places with us in a heartbeat, so I know that I need to enjoy every moment.
It sounds like you all had a fun time with family this week! I'm a little jealous! I'm so glad to hear that the kids are making friends. and I can't believe dad gets to go to paris! I met a teacher here named Brother Jones who says he knows Kevin? And I also met an elder in the cafeteria who knows James from a camp! Small world.
I love you all much and I miss you tons! I hope you have a great week
