It was a good week but not super exciting.
I went on two wonderful splits!
The first was with sister Litster and she came to Frankfurt with me:)
she is three weeks on the mission and I learned a ton from her! We
were able to get two new investigators on the split. One is from South
Africa and she is so so so cool. She asked the perfect questions and
the best part is that she brought her cute little family to church
yesterday. It was the most beautiful thing. But we passed her over to
the international sisters since she speaks English. The other lady is
from Bulgaria and is so nice to us. We met her at the street display
and the only problem is that there is a giant language barrier. For
our next lesson we will be skyping in some missionaries from Bulgaria!
I was also able to go to Wiesbaden on the American base with Sister
Montgomery! This is always such a weird split for me. I really had
forgotten how different Americans and Germans are. It was nice to
speak in English for a bit! We taught someone English and ate a lot of
food and cleaned marker off of someone's wall because their little 2
year old drew all over it.
Sister Knutson and I planned a lot this week for the upcoming zone
trainings. We're really excited for them! One of the zone trainings is
focusing on charity. Sister Knutson and I are giving the closing thema
about it and we have had lots of different thoughts. I would invite
you all to watch the Mormon Message called LIFT because it has been so
inspiring for us! Sometimes I think it's so easy to focus on our
burdens and all the things we need to do and all the things we want to
accomplish and become etc etc. And by doing so, it's really easy to
forget the joy and privilege it is to lift one another's burdens and
I hope you have a good week!
Love, sister funk
