luck with surviving the German winters, but I can promise you that the
summers are much much worse! We have been dying! It has been over 100
and way humid and there is no AC, so there is no escaping it and you
just sweat and die. We have eaten a lot of ice cream and drank a ton
of water. We also got very tan!
We had a great week with our investigators. Caroline got answers to
her prayers, is reading, and set a date to come to church. We met with
Ilona again! She even showed up to church yesterday and we were so
happy! She has a lot of walls we need to break down with her. We are a
little worried about it, but I can tell that there is a reason sister
bray is here and I am here and that we met her.
Our list of potentials is growing and growing! We did some great
street contacting in the heat. The worst thing is just having to call
them over and over and over again to try to get an appointment.
We got a new investigator, Frau Nowak. She was a referral from a ward
member. She is also a hoarder and Sister Bray and I will be helping
her a lot!
Sister Richter came back from her trip home to Africa and she brought
me back an African dress. I think this is one of the greatest gifts I
have ever gotten in my life. I love it and I love her!
We really do have a lot going on in our area and I feel very blessed
for that! I am learning so much more about how to be an effective
missionary and I wish I would have known it all from the beginning.
I think the highlight of my week was yesterday's fast and testimony
meeting. Our chapel was pretty empty because of holidays and the
weather, but the spirit was sure there. There is one sister in our
ward who gives the most amazing testimonies. I think I wrote about her
early as the one who truly lives her testimony. She really has
impacted me. She spoke yesterday about how we don't need to worry. God
is there and He never leaves. He answers every single prayer when we
pray in faith and He knows how to make everything all work out, so
there is no need to worry. It brought the Spirit so strongly and I'm
grateful for her example.
I can't wait to hear all about Andrea's experiences and Parker's trip!
Tell Landon I'm proud of him for his merit badges:)
I love you!
