-Probably the sweetest moment of my mission so far happened on Wednesday. We had scheduled an appointment to teach Sarah and when we called to confirm she said she was in the hospital. We just assumed that she wasn't feeling well with her pregnancy and everything and she said we could come visit her there anyways. So we found the hospital and went to her room and talked for a minute or so and then she wanted some water so Sister Pettitt walked over to her bed to pour her some and almost screamed because she realized there was a tiny baby next to Sarah! Turns out she had her baby only few hours earlier and we were the first people to even see her! Her name is Deborah and she was 2.75 Kilos! Apparently she had tried to tell us on the phone that she had her baby but it was really hard to hear haha. We got to teach her about eternal families and it was seriously the sweetest thing ever. Her husband Patrick and her boys came half way through and he was saying how grateful he was for our presence haha. I just love them! We of course had to move her baptismal date, so it will be the 21st of March now!
-We were sitting in a train the other day when some random number called our phone so I answered it and it was a man asking if we were the people with the name tags. Apparently we gave him a mormon.org card on a bus and he said he wants to meet with us and learn more! We will be meeting him tomorrow.
-Erik is doing so well! He had been sick for a while so we were not able to visit the past couple of weeks, but we finally got to visit again on Thursday. Sister Pettitt and I made a game to review the plan of salvation and it was just so cool to see how much he has learned!
-We met with Rosa, the girl I wrote about last week, just a few hours ago! She seems so so prepared to me! She is from Ecuadaor and has three sons. We somehow managed to meet them all at 3 separate times when we kept stopping by to try to set up an appointment.. She is really excited to meet with us and we are so excited to teach them haha.
Something I have been thinking a lot about this week is the fact that we have a prophet. We have been listening to a lot of general conference talks lately and have been reading ensigns and I am just so grateful for the words of the prophet and apostles! It is something that really sets our church apart and I know that they truly are called of God.
I love you and hope that you are all doing well!
